VEGAN MEATHEAD serve up a healthy heap of original hard rock with a side-helping of humor as life-long friends Russ “Rusty” Miles (guitar) and John “JD” Donahue (vocals) join forces to hit all the right notes!

Their debut EP, Hard Rock Is Good For Your Health, is a sarcastic love note to their heroes - the bands that the duo cranked up on the Audiovox tape deck as they cruised around suburbia in Rusty's '77 Buick Century.  The influences of rock titans like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath echo through their riff-driven jams, creating an original sound that’s both familiar and funny.

But don’t let the humor fool you - VEGAN MEATHEAD is serious about the music.  And they’re bringing their unique brand of “dumb ass hard rock” to the stage . . . so keep your potatoes peeled for live shows featuring Rusty and JD along with their rockin' band of fellow meatheads!

Honorary Meatheads: Gary “Geeve” McGilvray, Dave Hamilton, Jim Richardson, Nathan Strout, Craig Fowler , Jon McCormack, Brian Coombes, Eric Wagley, Linette Miles, Beth Fowler, Ian Miles, Garrett Smith, CJ Voteur, and Neil Politano - all have joined the band either recording tracks in the studio and/or kickin' out the jamz live on stage.
