ATOMIC SOLDIER
Atomic Soldier was a garage rock band from Rochester, NH that was formed by a group of friends at Spaulding High School in 1984. Craig Chick (vocals) and Russ Miles (guitar) wrote the songs - and were joined by Chris Hubbard (keyboards), Gary McGilvray (bass), and Steve Zinck (drums). Other “Atomic Soldiers" included John Donahue, Rich McFadden, Terry Cotton, and Shay Berry.
The band recorded three original songs at Wolfridge Studios in Rochester, NH on February 13, 1985. The lead single “Too Much Too Lose” received radio airplay on local college station WUNH. A reel-to-reel tape of these long lost tunes was discovered by Shay Berry in 2024 and transferred to digital at Cedar House Sound in Sutton, NH.
